South Philly’s Southwark on Reed More than 50% Sold

03.01.2017

Philadelphia, PA, March 1, 2017 – Southwark on Reed, a new luxury townhome community in Philadelphia’s Pennsport neighborhood, has achieved a significant sales milestone with more than half of the residences sold.  Built on the site of the former site of Mt. Sinai Hospital in South Philadelphia, the 91 expansive and historically inspired townhomes at 400 Reed Street are selling at a rapid pace, attracting a variety of bu
yers from throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

“We have sold more than half of the available townhomes in less than a year and, at this current rate, we are on track to sell out by the end of the year.  We are seeing strong interest from buyers who are drawn to the spaciousness and exceptional quality of these luxury townhomes and their convenient access to Center City, the newly developed Navy Yard, and the restaurants and retail establishments in the neighborhood and along the nearby East Passyunk Avenue corridor,” said Andrea Pientrinferno of Long & Foster, who is handling sales for the project.

With floorplans ranging in size from 2,300 to 3,200 square feet, the new South Philadelphia landmark offers owners’ suites that encompass the entire top floor with private outdoor terraces and sweeping views of the dazzling Philadelphia skyline and the Walt Whitman and Benjamin Franklin bridges.  Upscale features include ten-foot ceilings in the second floor living spaces and fourth floor master bedroom, open floor plans and designer kitchens.

“The sales success of Southwark on Reed speaks to the exceptional quality of these distinctive residences set against one of America’s most desirable urban backdrops.  One of the challenges of urban living is finding homes that provide plenty of space, proximity to city attractions and amenities, and even parking.  Southwark on Reed has it all,” said Matt Dewey, President of Urban Pace, marketing consultants for the development.

Southwark on Reed offers 16-, 18-, 20- and 22–foot wide townhomes with a selection of three to four bedrooms and multiple options of two-to-three full baths and as many as two half-baths.  The townhomes feature detailed brick and stone elevations and smart home options.  The townhomes have one-or two-car garages, particularly important in a parking-constrained area. Prices range from the $500,000’s to high $600,000’s.

Southwark on Reed was developed by a joint venture between D3 Real Estate Development, The Concordia Group and The Resmark Companies.
